~ I found it ~

A few weeks ago I found this needlepoint pillow on the Internet and asked my needlepoint friend Sarah if she thought it would work to get 6 of them and convert them into chair covers for my kitchen chairs. She thought it would work and gave me a few suggestions on what fabrics would look good with the pillow tops to expand them to fit the chairs. I loved her suggestions. Then it dawned on me that I could not remember where I had seen the pillows.............So, the project was put on the back burner.

Well, today while surfing the web to find pants to fit me, which has become a huge pain, I stumbled upon the pillows. Of course, now I can't remember the fabric suggestions that Sarah gave me for coordinating, but at least I found the pillows. Any body have any suggestions?

Hope you are all having a great week.

Hugs,
Sue

  1. Aren't those beautiful! I can totally see them as cushions in your chairs. Maybe with a plaid or striped flounce.Or a teeny floral.Adorable!

  5. Sue,
Every thing about you - your looks, your home, your hospitality, your blog - everything screams 'southerner'. I am always so surprised and have to remind myself that you are from Michigan. Which I ADORE Michigan, by the way - my Mama is a Michigander. Are you originally from the South?

I love 'coming here' and taking a break from my day. And I do love your home. It is so elegant and colorful.

  6. What a lovely pattern! I don't know what the rest of your kitchen looks like so I can't make suggestions. I'm sure whatever you choose will look fabulous. Can't wait for photos of the completed project.

    Thanks for sharing.

  17. Ah, the coordinating fabric...always tricky. Just about anything incorporating the colors would work. When I made my daughters floral drapes, I used the blue out of the multi colored flowers and found a blue and white small print to go with them. I think any small check, stripe or even tiny pin dot would look great. Make sure you post the finished product!

  20. Sue- Your house is amazing! I love those pillows would be luscious as chair covers. I love the buffet in your hallway and am planning to redo one in my home in those colors. Is there ANY chance you could post a front pic of it? it looks decoupaged or is it painted? Thanks for all the inspiration! Carmen

  21. This is a beautiful piece. Looks great in the foyer. Your home is lovely.
I like the material for the cushions. A small print with the colors in the pillow would look stunning.
    Happy Memorial Day!

  22. Those pillows are beautiful! May I ask where you found them? I am looking for some needlepoint pillows. As for your fabric, I like the idea that has been mentioned a few times of a small print in the blue color.

  23. Heather, I ordered the pillows from The Snappy - Turtle in DelRay Beach, Fl. They were all they had and the gal said that they were being discontinued. The name of the company that makes them is Dash & Albert and you can probable find them through Google. There might be a similar pattern that you like. If not e-mail me because when I got the pillows they do not match my room at all and though I love them I don't have a place for them. I would be willing to sell you some at a discounted price. Hope this helps.
I tried to comment on your blog but see that you have closed it down.
