Thinking About Fall

Did you have a good weekend? I sure hope so. It seems like our Michigan summers just keep getting shorter and shorter. You can already feel fall in the air. It has been a beautiful summer in these parts, just warm enough and plenty of short rain showers to keep things nice and green through most of the season. Last year we were so busy that I didn't do much seasonal decorating around the house but this year I'm already thinking toward fall and the holidays. With the harvest beginning around here and the local fruit and vegetable stands brimming with delicious fresh local produce my thoughts are turning toward pumpkins and scarecrows and away from daisy's and rosebuds.
It is still a little early to change the decor of the little spots like over the kitchen cupboards and on the tables but this afternoon might be a good time to open a few boxes in the basement and see what we have to work with for the coming fall season.

Hugs,
Sue

Yes, Fall is in the air... It is freezing here and I like cooler sweater weather but this is too cold for me.

Thanks for having us this weekend. We had a great time and can't wait to come back to spend more time. Thanks, Dana

We don't have fall weather yet here in SC but I'm already getting anxious to see the colors of fall. I need to get out my tubs of fall decor and see what I have. Since I'm a realatively new blogger, you gals have really inspired me to do more.

Love your Mr. & Mrs. Bunny.

Morning, Sue! I know what you mean - I'm readya for fall. Although we don't really have much but hot - it just gets a little less hot. But my mind says, it's time for cooler weather. I love how you've decked out the tops of your cabinets. Can't wait to see what you do for fall!
    Be a sweetie,

  5. I grew up in Michigan and remember the shorter summers. Now I live in North Carolina and I can hardly wait for the hot, humid summers to end. A happy medium would be nice.

Anyhow, I LOVE your decor above your cupboards. We have the same tastes. I hope you will share with us how you change it for fall. Every time you post a picture from your house I am thrilled. So beautiful.

    Have a great day,
    Kim
