~ Old School ~

Hi Ladies. How is everyone this beautiful morning? We are old school around here. Not because we have made the choice to be but just because we are old and things are the way they are because that is the way they always have been.
We use cloth napkins and occasionally cloth table cloths.
We have placemats to protect the tables.
We dry dishes with dish towels and wipe up things with a dish cloth.
I wear an apron to keep my clothes clean while doing house work or cooking.
We always have a roll of paper towels on hand but seldom use them.
Because we have been around a long time we really have a lot of placemats and cloth napkins ~
B U T ! Here is my new favorite thing. Chlorox Disinfecting Wipes. These things are great. My favorite thing about them is that they wipe down our counter tops with out having to dry them with a towel when you are through. This tub of wipes is huge so we will see how they work out in the long run. Having things around to do cleaning with that you can do just as well with a soapy wash cloth has always seemed a waste to me but these just might become a staple for cleaning counter tops around here.
Hugs,
Sue

There is absolutely nothing wrong with "old School"! I certainly enjoy it myself. BUT, I agree with you entirely, Clorox wipes are fabulous! I keep them in all the bathrooms, the laundry room and the kitchen for quick wipes. I sometimes wonder how I ever lived without them!

I do have to say you have lovely placemats, napkins and aprons. I have enjoyed my visit to your blog. :)

    Wishing you a beautiful week,
    Jen

  4. Hi Sue,
I love the clorox wipes too!

I have to admit we hardly ever use cloth napkins except on special occasions!

    Love your paper towel holder!

  6. I love your cloth napkins! I have a Christmas set, a white battenburg lace set, and a brown set. I would love more, but they are so expensive!

I have to admit, I love the Clorox wipes too. They are so handy. If someone is sick I send the girls around the house with them to wipe the phones, doorknobs, and light switches.

  10. Thanks Virginia, the paper towel holder came from my store that I closed two years ago. It is made by Arthur Court so if you google it you might be able to find someone that carries them.

  11. Have always loved your linens and your use of them! I keep the Clorox wipes in both bathrooms and must say they get a lot of use.... perhaps not ecologically the best choice, but they are perfect for quick clean-ups! As another tip - I spent fri. deep cleaning my kitchen. Had tea stains on my laminate and tried 3 different cleaners to no avail. Then tried some toothpaste (paste not gel) and it cleaned them up beautifully.
Who knew??! Check out my blog to see what else I've been up to thanks to you!!!

  12. Hi Sue,
I love those Clorox wipes too. I have some at work that I like to use on phones and doorknobs esp. after someone has been out sick.

I've tagged you for a fun game. Come on over for a visit and see what it's all about.

    Have a great day,
    Kim

    Mom,

I love coming to your home and using your cloth napkins. No matter were you are it always makes me feel so at home when we visit.

I have 5 tubs of Clorox Wipes I must say honestly. I keep them in all of my bathrooms and kitchen. With now 3 boys in the house and just little old me... they come in handy for all of those quick cleans.

Lots of Love and Many Blessings,
    Dana
