Corralling The Kitchen Clutter

This is my worst hot spot. I have a hard time keeping this area looking neat and clean. 

The solution I am trying out to the clutter is my favorite Spode Blue Italian Platter. 

It looks nice but I fear for its safty. I am such a clutze any more. Forever moving around quickly and getting a lot done was just the way I moved. Age is catching up with me and when I go at my old pace I break a lot. It is so hard to slow down.
