~ All Things Are Possible ~

Well, the campaign and election are over and even though my choice for President and Vice President did not win I am happy that it is over. The historical impact of this election can not be over looked. Watching the joy on the faces of those in Grant Park and around the world Tuesday night was so moving that I, a staunch supporter of the other side, made the decision to give our new President the benefit of the doubt. To put aside all the information form all over the place that really might have been true or not true. To give him a chance to show us himself what he stands for. With the grace of God, the change that he promised to bring will be a change that glorifies God our heavenly Father.

Now it is back to the business of life. Back to guarding our hearts and minds from things that try to sway us from our purpose. Back to keeping our priorities in the order that God instructed us to keep them. We know that when we do we will have the peace of the Lord that exceeds all understanding.

We can be good citizens of the world by practicing the virtues of self-discipline, compassion, responsibility, friendship, work, courage, perseverance, honesty, loyalty and faith. With God, all things are possible.
May the fruits of the spirit, which are peace, love, joy, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control always be with you as you go about your life as a keeper of home or as what ever your calling is, where ever you are.
Blessings and much love,
Sue

  2. Sue,
I echo your posting word for word....

I know God can change runs of rivers and hearts of kings and use anyone to accomplish His purpose...He certainly knows the end from the beginning and is too wise to be unwise....

Although my candidate did not win I do pray for the President-Elect... that he will be a godly leader....all eyes will be upon him to see if he follows through.....

    God bless.....Betty

  15. I was so moved by your post- thank you for your gracious words and wisdom. One of the great blessings we have as Americans is the right to speak our minds and vote as we choose. I was so disappointed to see many of my friends turn away in anger from anyone whose beliefs did not match their own. I couldn't understand why, in order to support one candidate, we were expected to hate the other. This is the greatest country on earth and to see Democracy via our election in action was truly breathtaking for me. How lucky we are to be Americans. Your post serves as a reminder to me to always have an open mind and to trust in the Lord. I shared your post with everyone. Such an inspiration!
