Views Of Bay Harbor & Mom

We had a good time up north last week. The boys had meetings in Bay Harbor so I tagged along as the nanny. We had rooms at The Inn at Bay Harbor. Here are a few pictures of pretty Bay Harbor that I thought you might like to see. The first one is taken off of our little porch and is of the cottages that are included on the Bay Harbor Inn property.
This is a colorful, privately owned, cottage in the village that is close to the main town center. This is the private cottage that we passed on our walk to the town center every evening. It is up on a hill and overlooks Lake Michigan.
The flowers on the entire property were so bright and well maintained.
OK, this may not be so exciting but I love this blue and green fabric that was used on the curtains in our room and would love to find out the name of it. Anybody have a clue? I should have pulled it out straight to see the pattern better but we were leaving and I didn't have time to fuss with it.

Hope you all had a good weekend and that all is well with you and yours. My Mom is in the hospital due to dehydration and an irregular heart beat. Please say a prayer for her if you will please.

I read this quote on some ones blog and thought it was so true:

Life is fragile ~ handle it with Prayer

Northern Michigan

Today we are off to Bay Harbor for some family fun this weekend. Bay Harbor is on the northwest part of the lower peninsula of Michigan on lake Michigan. This time of year is so beautiful in northern Michigan. If you are looking for a vacation spot with your family you might want to consider this part of Michigan. There are cute towns along the coast line that offer all kinds of fun for families in every price range. The state parks on the lake are great for camping. Anyone that has one of those adorable Vintage Travel Trailers and is looking for a destination spot would have a great time up there.
You can find accommodations in all price ranges. There are little bed-and-breakfast places in Charlevoix if you like that type of thing. Petoskey offers several of the chain hotel. Boyne Highlands and Bay Harbor are larger resorts that have many attractions. Mackinac Island is a day trip away and always a fun place to take the kids.
I hope y'all have a good weekend and if you are looking for something to do come on up and visit us here in Michigan.
Hugs,
Sue
