Here are a few of my newest books. I was a bit disappointed with the new Charles Faudree book. He has been one of my favorites for years, but for some reason this book was less than the last couple of his books, for me at least. Blog beauty may have something to do with my lack of appreciation.
Hunt Country Style is good and will probably go to Sarah for her birthday. Don't you just love giving books for presents? You get to read them then share 'em ;) Sarah's house is gorgeous and decorated very beautifully using the Hunt theme. Hopefully, one of these days she will let me photograph it and let me post it on here for all of you.
These are two of the three GRITS (Girl's Raised In The South) books that I have been reading. Even though I live in the Mid-West I get a kick out of GRITS humor, hospitality, manners, and big hair and these cute little books do not disappoint. I think I left the third one at the guest house a couple weeks ago.
I hope every one is having a good week and enjoying spring where ever you are~
I love the GRITS books. I have them all and actually reread them every few months. You might also like "Being Dead Is No Excuse" by Gayden Metcalfe and Charlotte Hayes. I got quite a laugh out of it.
ReplyDeleteI've followed your blog since last year. I love your home and am very glad your son is doing so much better. What a frightful time for you and your family.
Hi, Sue, I just looked at all the guesthouse pics on Dana's blog (and introduced myself to her). She did an absolutely fantastic job putting it all together. Love the green & white. Ya'll must have had a ball working on this together.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Mother's Day!

ReplyDeleteI felt the same way about the Charles Faudree book! Soooo sad to open it and not be thrilled a tiny bit...felt like sending it back to Amazon, but I am too lazy!
Have you gotten any Nell Hills books? I adore those! Let me know if you need a list of my favorite decorating books, I love to share them!
Have a lovely weekend, and a great Mothers day!
Blessings, Donna Lynn
I have Puttin' on the GRITS and the GRITS Guide to Life. I just love them both.
ReplyDeleteThe GRITS series sounds right up my alley. Thanks for sharing. Also, I really appreciate Flylady's consistent schedule. It's nice to see that others do, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI got Hunt Country a few weeks ago!
