A Few Details of the Home Office

This, more shabby than chic, oil painting with the paint pealing off in the lower right hand corner flew home with me on a plane home from Maine back in the early '90's. The picture above is an old landscape that I picked up at a junk shop along the way.
Another group of junk shop pictures. The top one is a Nuttley print of a pretty orchard. The bottom one in the heavy walnut frame is a Currier & Ives print.
One of my path pictures on top of these two colorful rose pictures. Roses pictures that combine pink and red often find their way home with me.
Looking into the office through the glass on the French doors.
Another picture moving around the room.
The rug anchors the table and chairs in the middle of the room that is usually used by the Grand's for coloring or reading their books while I'm on the computer.........

Thanks for stopping by Life At Home and having a look around my very musty smelling home office. I really need to get the Windex out and give these dusty old pictures a good cleaning. Well, maybe later. Today more work on our totally trashed closets.

Hope your day is productive if you are up to it and that all of you dealing with that bug that is going around take it easy on yourselves.

We've been checking in on your blgs and so gald that Aaron is doing better and glad that Angie is with him.

There is a very comfortable familiarity to all these pictures in your home. It's so fun to see. I'm in process of changing things up in our home right now and think of you often (almost everything that you and your Mom arranged in my home over 10 years ago had not changed). Needless to say, it's time for a change. Still trying to use all the tools you gave me to plan my changes.

    Love to your whole family!

  4. Sue, Thank you so much for coming by. I've added you to my blogroll. I love that the address to your blog is "how to keep house." My mother has the same name as you do and I'm very close to her. I'll certainly be by to visit more often.

I really love a wall full of frames and pictures. I am covering my hallway this way as well. I've been searching for some bookshelves like the one in your office - something thin and not as tall. Where did you find bookshelves like those?

So happy to see you getting back to a somewhat normal life. We are keeping Aaron and his family in our prayers still.

I do love those Rose paintings. Roses are my absolute favorite and anything with roses on them I love. Thanks for posting them.
