No More Golden Oak
I am still on the hunt for the perfect carpet but the stair case is painted. Thanks to Ryan and Mike, my fabulous painters, for a job well done.
I love you home. And that wallpaper is exquisite. I also love, love, love the staircase but Yikes! wasn't that scary? Meaning: if you don't like it, it could be a booger to 'fix.'
Just wanted you to know I slip a few times in commenting-- sorry. I've loved your blog and your ideas and changes you are making! I know I love getting comments so I will be better blogger commenter-- wink! I'll send you a photo of my carpet I have on my stairs and I love it! Have a happy day! Kristeen
Mrs. G Painting the spindles was a nice update. Have you thought of using brass carpet rods on your stairs? It’s a classy look I’ve always liked. Cathy
I LOVE your blog too, Mrs G. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Those stairs are just gorgeous as is the wall paper and the green cabinet. You must have a very good mind to think of such exquisite ideas.
Lovely, Eddie Ross posted a while back some lovely options for rugs for runners for stairs. I would love a strip or perhaps a pattern on your steps, a neutral one with some green! Please show us what you find. pve
